According to the police, at least 50 people were murdered and 53 people were injured Sunday at LGBT club Pulse Orlando. President Obama called it “the most deadly shooting in American history.”
Open Communities grieves this loss and our hearts are broken. As the LGBTQ community celebrates pride month and the one-year anniversary of marriage equality, we are reminded that hatred is real and can manifest as horrific violence anywhere.
