We were honored to celebrate Arif’s 9 years as Treasurer on our Board of Directors at his mother Nafisa’s house in Northbrook. We also joined him and his spouse, Milu, in welcoming their child Saeed to our Open Communities’ family.
Not only did Arif participate in the governance of the agency, but he’s been an active affordable housing advocate in his hometown of Northbrook. He shared his own story as the son of Bangladeshi immigrants and as a Muslim to inspire others, and he was the ever-popular MC for our Justice Awards benefits.
Under Arif’s tenure as Treasurer, Open Communities budget increased 60%.
Arif Choudhury is a CPA working for a firm in New York, where he brings his specialty in serving non-profits.
