What is the true state of school funding in our state, and what can we do to make sure our public schools have the resources they need to give our children the education they deserve?
United We Learn is a north-suburban-based grassroots group of parents, teachers, students, religious leaders and neighbors who support a higher quality public school education and brighter future for all of our children in Illinois. Open Communities is a proud supporter and co-founder.
There will be a discussion event on October 11 which includes a lunchtime forum with Illinois’ foremost expert in school funding, Ralph Martire, director of the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability. This forum is also sponsored by a new statewide coalition, Illinois Friends of Public Education- which includes Parents Across America, Parents United for Responsible Education, and United We Learn.
Seating is limited -please RSVP here. Feel free to bring a bag lunch.
